Going Forward
Since May 2017, Going Forward has worked in partnership with over 75 organisations to deliver over 1,400 workshop sessions for young people.
Our sessions focus on core themes of health, wellbeing and risk-taking behaviours, particularly:
- substance use (alcohol, drugs, tobacco, vaping and nicotine pouches)
- sexual health and relationships
- online safety
- drink spiking
- consent
- peer pressure and influence
During each session, young people are provided with information about risk-taking behaviours and encouraged to reflect on their own health and wellbeing, alongside the health and wellbeing of others.
Feedback from the organisations and young people that we work with has highlighted that young people can be prevented from reaching positive destinations because of issues around substance misuse, unsafe sex and poor mental health.
These same organisations have kindly provided us with case studies that show that Going Forward sessions are particularly beneficial for the young people they work with and support:
If you would like to find out more about the Going Forward project, or discuss ways in which we could work with your organisation to develop and deliver a programme of sessions tailored to the specific needs of the young people that you support, simply e-mail admin@fastforward.org.uk or give us a call, on 0131 554 4300.
