Apply for up to £500 for your youth club

Could the Gambling Education & Prevention Small Action Fund support you in developing new ways to engage with your youth group during this lockdown period?

  • Are you exploring digital youth work approaches to continue supporting your youth group through these challenging times?
  • Do you have an idea for a peer-led gambling awareness initiative that you could develop with your youth group, using digital tools?

We’d love to hear from you and help you turn it into reality!

Groups of young people aged 12 – 25 in youth groups across Scotland have can apply for up to £500 to turn their ideas into action and create their own gambling education project.

Deadline: we’re currently accepting applications on an ongoing basis.

Please note: If you have an idea but you haven’t had a chance to put it into an application in time, or if you’re not sure about how to shape it into a project proposal, please just get in touch: we’ll be happy to hear your thoughts and help you!

Fast Forward is pleased to support youth-led initiatives through the Gambling Education and Prevention Small Action Fund, as part of  the Gambling Education Hub, and with funding from GambleAware.

This Small Action Fund is an opportunity for groups of young people to apply for up to £500 to create, develop and complete their own local project promoting gambling education and prevention.

Tell us your idea!

How would you like to apply digital youth work resources to create youth work initiatives in these times of social distancing? You could explore, for example, the possibility of developing ideas such as:
  • social media campaigns,
  • digital board games,
  • awareness raising videos or podcasts.

Who can apply?

  • We welcome applications from groups of young people aged 12-25 in youth groups in Scotland.
  • You can apply for a grant of minimum £80, maximum £500.
  • The grant will have to be used to cover the costs of the development and delivery of activity and equipment/resources related to increasing the understanding of gambling-related issues among young people.
  • The project will have to be completed within 6 months of receiving the grant.
