16 April 2014

Fast Forward, with the support of LAYC and the NHS are excited to be able to offer free tobacco workshops across Edinburgh and the Lothians. They have developed a special tobacco leaflet to use, and they invite other youth organisations to book a free session with them.

The tobacco workshop is based on the tobacco leaflet designed by volunteers and staff at Fast Forward, with the aim of increasing young people’s awareness and knowledge of tobacco, as well as the health issues around smoking. Through fun group activities, the workshops will inform and empower young people to make positive decisions regarding health and smoking.

Fast Forward are hoping to deliver tobacco workshops between April and May 2014 to youth groups working with young people aged 11 – 16 in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The workshops are free and can be delivered at any place or time that suits. At the end of the workshops, youth workers will receive a tobacco toolkit to enable them to carry out the workshops themselves.

If you think this tobacco workshop is something your youth group could be interested in, we would love to hear from you. If you would like more information, please contact Chiara through the Fast Forward contact page.
