Introducing Vice-Chair Monica Porciani

Monica is Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing in the School of Education at the University of Strathclyde. She has held positions at Strathclyde since 2006 and has responsibility for co-ordinating Health & Wellbeing programmes and courses for Initial Teacher Education.
She comes from a public health background, having held senior roles in community health projects and education programmes at Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board. She trained as a Public Health Practitioner and has developed an expertise in children and young people’s health improvement and child protection.
Monica joined the Board of Fast Forward six years ago and previously worked in partnership with the organisation over several years.
She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys getting out on her bike, walking her dogs and has recently taken up open water swimming and paddle boarding.
