19 October 2023

Would you like to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of Scotland’s children & young people?

We are look for new Trustees to join our Board of Directors to direct the work  of Fast Forward, and support our fantastic staff team in our work.

Fast Forward is Scotland’s national youthwork organisation specialising in risk-taking behaviours, prevention and early-intervention.

Established in 1987, we work with children, young people and the adults in their lives parents, carer givers, practitioners from formal and informal education settings, and their communities to promote the health and wellbeing of young people through education and training.

We support young people to achieve their full potential, lead fulfilling lives and contribute to their community.

Our projects support organisations and practitioners who work with young people by providing training, upskilling, and resources. We also support young people through engaging with them in learning activities in groups, in community and school settings.

We would like to add Trustees who will add new skills and diverse backgrounds to the Board, in particular;

  • Young people aged 18 – 25, to help us ensure that our work continues to be designed with, by and for children & young people.
  • Youth Work experience.
  • Experience of working in the Creative Industries
  • Lived experience of risk-taking behaviours, i.e. alcohol / substance use, gambling etc.

We also wish to add to the diversity of our Board, and would welcome interest from prospective Trustees from all backgrounds and experiences to ensure we better represent the communities that we serve.

We welcome applications from anyone regardless of ethnicity, heritage, gender, disability, sexuality, religion, socio-economic background or other differences.
