Ande Moore
Project Officer, Going Forward
Originally from the Scottish Borders, Ande now lives in Midlothian. Ande has a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Sexual and Reproductive Health, both from Queen Margaret University.
Ande’s most recent dissertation project focused on how primary education students in Scotland are prepared to deliver comprehensive sex education in Scottish schools. Despite focusing on sexual and reproductive health, Ande has also completed general global health modules as part of her MSc. This has provided her with well-rounded and broad knowledge of global public health issues, hence her passion for the Going Forward project.
Previous to her role in the Going Forward team, Ande has worked as a high school tutor for the Enhanced Learning Tutoring Initiative across schools in the Lothians. This role saw her working with young people from disadvantaged and care-experienced backgrounds who were most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Before joining Fast Forward in 2024, Ande was working as a youth worker for Children 1st. This saw her working with children and families affected by substance misuse. In a voluntary capacity, Ande has experience delivering comprehensive sex education lessons with Sexspression in secondary schools across Edinburgh.
In her spare time Ande enjoys swimming, cooking, seeing friends and most importantly playing netball! Ande plays club netball in Edinburgh and is a qualified UKCC level one netball coach.
