Project Officer, Ask Dad
Mark joined Fast Forward in 2017, lured by the challenge of developing the Ask Dad project. Ask Dad focuses on dads and the positive role they have in their children’s lives.
Mark grew up in Torry, Aberdeen, and, after completing a degree in Cultural History, moved to Edinburgh in 1999. In 2003, Mark ventured to Moray House to undertake a Postgraduate qualification in Community Education. His final placement took him to the Pilton Youth and Children’s Project. He liked the community so much, that he stayed for the next 13 years. During this time, Mark became the proud father of two daughters.
The Ask Dad project allows Mark the chance to combine his experience as both a youth worker and a father to provide support, advice and education to other parents.
Mark loves camping and being outdoors with his family – and all things related to bikes.
